Bonnie Bio has introduced a pre-shaped, biodegradable paper liner for domestic oven trays, expanding its range of disposable kitchen products with a plastic-free format designed to reduce cleaning and replace aluminium foil in selected cooking applications.
The liner is designed for trays used in 600mm-wide domestic ovens and features a continuous 2cm raised wall to contain oils, sauces and cooking juices during roasting or baking. Its non-stick paper construction is intended to prevent food residue from adhering directly to the tray, reducing the need for soaking, scrubbing and repeated dishwasher cycles.
Bonnie Bio supplies the product in boxes containing 10 liners, with six boxes packed per carton. The company states that the product packaging is also plastic-free, aligning the retail pack with the liner’s biodegradable positioning.
The liner is positioned as an alternative to aluminium foil and cooking directly on uncoated metal trays. Bonnie Bio describes the product as a “world first”, although this claim has not been independently verified.
The liners are manufactured from responsibly sourced wood pulp and are free from plastic, chlorine and bleach. The report also states that the liners may be reused several times, depending on the food being prepared. These specifications are not currently listed on Bonnie Bio’s product page and therefore remain company-reported claims.
The launch reflects continued development of fibre-based household products intended to replace plastic or aluminium formats in selected applications. For packaging manufacturers and converters, the product demonstrates how paper-based material selection, functional structural design and plastic-free retail packaging can be combined to address consumer demand for convenience and reduced material waste.
